Yard Watering Restrictions for Fort Worth
Drought Conservation & Watering Restrictions
The Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) implemented Stage 1 Water Restrictions effective June 3, 2013. The District's overall system capacity is currently hovering at 72%. Due to a lack of sufficient rainfall, 60% of the state of Texas continues to experience extreme or exceptional drought conditions.
The primary impact of these restrictions is a limitation on when lawn and landscape irrigation may occur. Watering is prohibited between 10am and 6pm daily and is restricted to two days per week before or after these hours. Penalties for lack of compliance will include fines not to exceed $2000 after an initial warning citation is issued. Residents who have private wells are required to place a sign in the front yard stating a private well is in use.
Mondays No watering allowed.
Tuesdays and Fridays Non-residential sites (apartments, businesses, sports fields, parks, common areas, HOAs)
Wednesdays and Saturdays Residential addresses ending in even numbers:
0, 2, 4, 6, 8
Thursdays and Sundays Residential addresses ending in odd numbers:
1, 3, 5, 7, 9
